Charging

There are two kinds of chargers available:

Conductive:

Conductive charging is done via metal to metal contact using a plug.

Inductive:

The inductive charger has no direct electrical connection to the vehicle. A weatherproof flat paddle transfers power to the vehicle’s charge port via magnetic field.

In 2002, the California Air Resources Board (CARB) has established one EV charging standard. In the state of California, Conductive (metal to metal contact) EV Charging is now the standard.
