A collaboration between the NY Port Authority and Ford Motor Company, the program utilizes the Ford Th!nk City Electric Vehicle.

Shared-Use Station Car Summit, July 19, 2001
The SUMMIT was hosted by the National Fuel Cell Research Center (NFCRC), the UCI Institute for Transportation Studies (UCI-ITS), the California Air Resources Board. The SUMMIT addressed the emerging shared-use station car program opportunities in the State of California in conjunction with the California Zero Emission Vehicle (ZEV) Mandate and the incentives that it provides for such efforts.

Freedom Car Program
The vision of FreedomCAR is petroleum-free cars and light trucks. The program will focus on the high-risk research needed to develop enabling technologies (e.g., fuel cells, the ability to produce hydrogen from domestic renewable sources, etc.) without sacrificing freedom of mobility, freedom of vehicle choice, or affordability.
