Program Goals

ZEV·NET is a not-for-profit venture that includes a research component with the purpose to:

  • Establish, demonstrate, and develop a sustainable shared-use, station-car program model that is applicable to major, California economic regions where rail-link commuting portends a major alternative to single-car freeway commuting.
  • Establish a model that optimally serves the commuting public and corporate business sector
  • Integrate the station car infrastructure with the emerging distributed energy generation of stationary fuel cells in order to establish a truly zero-emission transportation strategy.
  • Establish and utilize a test bed for intelligent transportation system sensors and information technology.

Vehicles
